What are LLMs (Large Language Models) that have revolutionized AI

First let’s understand what’s AI and ML. Artificial Intelligence or AI is a broad field and Machine Learning (ML) is an idea within AI for when you can tell something about a set of data points without having write a custom code but with a generic algorithm or a model.

Now LLMs are specific kinds of machine learning models that is

• Large i.e. has read millions of articles, books, data points or information
• Language i.e. it has read words, sentences, can understand how we communicate
• Models i.e. it’s a program or ML model that learns patterns and makes predictions

The reason LLMs have revolutionized AI spurred by Open AI’s ChatGPT launch is it’s ability to understand Natural Language including nuances. And the fact that they can explain things clearly, write code based on a prompt or an ask, answer questions, write stories etc.
